In line with the Strategic Framework of KPDN 2023, the objectives of this Division are:

1. To implement regulations / orders relating to consumer safety standards through clear legal provisions;
   
   
2. to collab with relevant Government agencies in implementing legislation on consumer goods safety standards;
   
   
3. to improve consumer protection on safety aspects of consumer goods; and
   
   
4. to implement advocacy programs and engagements related to the safety of consumer products as regulated by KPDN.

In striving to achieve KPDN Vision, the primary function of this Division are:

1. To develop and review legislation, guidelines and policies related to consumer product safety standards;
   
   
2.  to collab with agencies in national and international level involving activities standardization, issues related to product safety consumer and consumer goods recall;
   
   
3. to carry out advocacy and consultation related to implementation legislation and awareness programs to parties interested in the standard and safety of goods users;
   
   
4. to regulate the process of declaration of marking conformity safety standards; and
   
   
5. member of development committees and harmonization of standards such as industry standards committees, technical committee, and work committee inside and outside of the country.
