Consumerism Standards Division

Introduction
The Standard Development Unit was set up in 2003 under the Consumer Affairs Division. This unit was upgraded on January 10, 2010 as  Consumerism Standards Division (SK) which is one of the core divisions under the Ministry’s main wing, Consumer Empowerment.

The Division is responsible for reviewing, designing, and implementing legislation related to consumer product safety standard. In addition, this Division leads advocacy on standards and safety of consumer goods to all levels of society in accordance with the National Consumer Policy (NCP).
